Warrnambool City Council provides a range of early years intervention and support programs from pre-birth to 18 years old, including DFFH-funded programs: Family Services, Intensive Family Service, Parenting Assessment and Skill Development Services (PASDS) and Parenting Advice and Education Programs. The Integrated Family Services program works from the Best Interest Framework to provide a range of tailored services to strengthen families and improve the wellbeing of children, young people and their families. Warrnambool City Council has invested in various evidence-based programs for parenting and children’s services practitioners, including Marte Meo and the Safe & Together Model. Parenting education programs include Circle of Security Parenting, Tuning in to Kids and Teens, Bringing Up Great Kids, and Supported Playgroup with Smalltalk. Warrnambool City also runs various Early Years programs, including 3-year-old and 4-year-old Kindergarten, Long Day Care, Maternal and Child Health and Family Daycare.
